Will you take used bikes?
Bike Lady recommends Third Hand Bike Coop, www.thirdhand.org, for donating used bikes, or Mid-Ohio Food Bank sometimes takes used bikes. Both organizations will refurbish the bikes and place them in a new home. Only NEW bikes are accepted for FCCS Holiday Wish.
Are you a 501(c)(3) corporation?
Yes! Bike Lady, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) corporation. All donations are tax deductible in accordance with IRS regulations. Please contact the Bike Lady for tax id number. Further, Bike Lady, Inc. is properly registered with all government agencies. Finally, all costs are underwritten by the founder. One hundred percent of donations are used to purchase bikes, helmets and locks.
What sizes and types of bikes do you need?
We need as many bikes as there are types of kids out there, from tiny tyke three-wheelers to adult-sized bikes for teens.
